2025 Penny Rush / Dollar(s) Per Child Campaign
With just two dollars for every child in Head Start, we can ensure that the voices of Head Start children and their families are heard by members of our local and State Legislatures.
The Illinois Head Start Association (IHSA) is the only State organization advocating solely for Head Start and Early Head Start children and their families.
Dollar Per Child is the only source of support for IHSA’s State of Illinois advocacy efforts.
Our 2025 Campaign Goal:
- Raise two dollars for each of the one million children in Head Start and Early Head Start programs across the nation.
- Riverbend Head Start has funding for 646 children, so we need to raise $1,292 total
- To reach this goal each center has its own goal identified on the back side of this sheet
- The 2025 Campaign runs January 27th – February 28th
Distribute Supplies:
- Put labels on baggie and then attach baggie to flyer
- Distribute baggies to all Head Start parents, bus drivers (if applicable), businesses, and anyone else who wants to support Head Start
- Fill baggies with donations (pennies, dimes, etc.). No amount is too big or too small!
Collect Donations:
- At the conclusion of the campaign, write your child’s name on the baggie and seal it shut.
- Turn sealed baggies in to your Head Start Center or bus driver by February 28th.
Donations will be counted and turned in to the Illinois Head Start Association (IHSA) in Springfield.
